We Love Home Educating Via Church School
My husband and I both agree in this day and age home educating our son is what’s right for our family and to know our sweet boy will be safe and not in the care of strangers!
I personally knew before my son was born he wouldn’t ever go to a public or private school. I planned to home educate him from the moment I knew of his existence! It’s a lot of work some days, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. But what I didn’t know was I’d be doing it in Alabama! I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and I knew my son couldn’t grow up there. I headed for the country, rural life, the beauty of nature, love of outdoors (mostly in the winter). It’s amazing here!
It also makes a great place to teach your kids! There is so much nature when you go outside you can learn a lot of things. We take pictures of flowers, plants, trees, bugs, spiders, lizards, mushrooms, etc… We search for them on google and learn about what they are and when they grow, what seasons make them come, etc…. It’s a lot of fun! One of the coolest spiders I have seen here is the Golden Orb Weaver, he was absolutely amazing! His legs and body were bigger than my hand opened and fingers spread!
Plus, one of the main things I love about home educating is our son gets to learn at his own pace. He’s on different levels with each subject. He’s a total computer nerd, just like his Mama, Me! 🙂
I let my son awake every day and I don’t push him right away to get dressed and come on it’s time for school. We let the day flow and work it in. I do not work by a schedule, I haven’t ever been that kind of organized! LOL Seriously, though there is nothing wrong with that, especially if it works for you.
