Alphabet Soup
Materials Needed:
- Alphabet cards or tiles (you can use scrabble tiles or make your own)
- A large bowl or container
- Timer
Object of the Game:
To find and spell as many words as possible within a set time limit.
Instructions:
- Mix all the alphabet tiles in a large bowl.
- Each child takes a turn to draw 5-7 tiles from the bowl (like they’re stirring the alphabet soup).
- Start the timer and have the child try to create as many words as they can with their letters.
- The child who makes the most words within the time limit wins that round.
This game helps children practice their alphabet, spelling, and vocabulary skills.
